Twiggy Racing Teams

The Twiggy Racing Team was founded by GPL drivers Henrik "Smaze" Djurner and Magnus "The End" Söderquist in July 2002 for the first season of the GPL-Spot Cup.

The team got off to a good start, winning the drivers' championship in the Spot Cup with Magnus Söderquist. Henrik Djurner finished the season in second place. Togheter they won three out of seven races, and the team managed to collect the most points of all teams in division 1.

After the very successful first season, TRT felt they wanted to up their game yet another level. To manage that, they hired Finnish GPL pro Christian "Keng" Westerlund, who had finished third in the first season with NorthWest Racing. They also started a division 2 team, with drivers Ola "Zacke" Ask, Patrik "Zio" Sögaard and Fredrik "Dulann" Djurner.

During the fall of 2002 TRT drivers Henrik Djurner, Söderquist and Westerlund drove the Minute League Cooper championship, where the team once again saw great success when Henrik Djurner won the championship. Westerlund finished third and Söderquist fifth. The team also won the teams' championship.

Now TRT has entered the second season of the Spot-Cup, and is looking very good both in the drivers' and teams' championships.
